The Influence of the Mediterranean Diet on Anxiety Disorder
Abstract
In recent decades, there have been major changes in the daily lives of individuals, with emphasis on changes in eating habits and the increase in mental disorders, such as anxiety, which is directly related to the consumption of monounsaturated fats. The Mediterranean diet stands out for its benefits for health and prevention of various diseases, due to its nutritional characteristics. The aim of this article is to study the applicability of the Mediterranean diet in clinical offices for the treatment of anxiety disorder, being coherent with the Paraguayan reality. This article is a literature review based on the literature, providing an overview of the influence of the Mediterranean diet in the treatment of anxiety disorder.
