Case Report: Signo de Chilaiditi - A Radiological Hallazgo

The Chilaiditi sign is an extremely rare radiological finding, it is a differential diagnosis for a type of genetic anomaly that causes the intestine to have its wing with a different conformation than usual. In some cases, this wing can invade the thorax portion. When there are associated symptoms it is called Chilaiditi syndrome. This syndrome is characterized by hepatodiaphragmatic interposition, of amorphous etiology, which does not follow a pattern, and has clinical manifestations that vary depending on the patient. Symptoms may include constipation, abdominal pain, and respiratory distress. The objective of this work is to report a case, which describes a 62-year-old man, residing in Ciudad del Este, department of Alto Paraná, Paraguay, who presented the Chilaiditi sign during a control chest X-ray related to a previous picture of Covid-19 pneumonia.References
